Cassandra Hodgkinson

In 2005 she completed her Masters of Sports Physiotherapy at Latrobe University. Cassandra worked at the 2006 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. She has travelled internationally with various teams including the Australian Skier Cross Team, Australian Softball Team, New Zealand Cycling Team and NSW/ACT Rams AFL team over the past few years.
Cassandra was a national level downhill skier throughout her teen years and has completed various ironman and marathon events. She enjoys running, skiing, golf and cycling both road and mountain biking. Cass has nearly completed the Abbott Major Marathons and will compete in Boston in 2026.

In addition, she had the opportunity to work and travel with Australian Men's Hockey teams and the Australian Orienteering team. In 2009, Catherine completed her Masters in Sports Physiotherapy through La Trobe University. She has a strong interest in running-related injuries, and particularly enjoys treating complex back and pelvic injuries. She has two children and enjoys participating in running, orienteering and multi-sport events.

Outside of the clinic, Kirsty has worked with Football Australia for 11 years - in particular, working alongside the A-league referees, managing their care throughout the season and on game day. She also has a special interest in gymnastics and works as an intermediate judge in Men’s Artistic Gymnastics. Other areas of interest include working with sports related injuries; dance, weightlifting and martial arts; together with workplace related and motor vehicle accident rehabilitation, pain management and working with patients in an exercise setting and providing individualised Pilates programs.
Kirsty has a keen interest in Women’s Health particularly pre- and post-natal care and is currently undergoing studies to expand her knowledge in this area, with the goal of becoming a titled Women’s Health Physiotherapist.

Tom is the Head Physiotherapist for the ACT Meteors cricket team and is only available for appointments at PhysioSport O’Connor on Wednesdays.
Tom was the Head Physio at the Uni-Norths Owls Rugby Club from 2019-2021 and has also supported Indoor Cricket ACT at their National Championships (2023-current). His work in sport has also led him to become a qualified Complete Concussion Management practitioner, helping patients safely return to school, work and sport following a concussion.
Tom has a keen interest in sport and exercise injuries and enjoys treating conditions of the neck and spine. He is dedicated to providing a well-rounded, evidence-based approach to injury management and rehabilitation for patients from all walks of life.

Emily grew up playing netball and volleyball, and as a result, she has experienced her fair share of sporting injuries. This has given Emily an in-depth understanding of the rehabilitation process from a player’s perspective which she applies to her clinical practice.
Emily aims to empower her patients by providing them with appropriate knowledge regarding their injury so they may take control of, and actively engage in their rehabilitation. She believes in an evidence-based approach to rehabilitation, and is dedicated to ensuring that all clients achieve their goals.
In her spare time Emily enjoys watching and playing sports and attending regular gym sessions.

As an APA Titled Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist—a title recognising advanced postgraduate expertise in diagnosing and treating muscle, joint, and nerve conditions—she holds specialised Master's qualifications for managing back pain, neck pain, and persistent pain and complex injuries.
Special interests include upper limb conditions (shoulder, elbow, wrist and close trauma of hand that require hand therapy (fabrication of basic custom orthosis, casting upper limb or removal of casting), tendinopathies of upper limb and lower limb, vestibular rehabilitation for the dizzy patient, and exercise prescription for rehabilitation and end-phase strength & conditioning in gym settings.
She practices evidence-based care considering clients' goals and meeting them where they are at, using diagnosis, manual therapy of massage and spinal manipulations, dry needling, tailored rehabilitation, and self-management education. Always aiming to collaborate with GPs/specialists, as it is important to work together to optimise patient outcomes and referring for imaging as needed, and supporting return-to-work or fitness goals.
Victoria incorporates recovery science for perimenopause, nutrition science, and gym optimisation for women to build strength.
Outside the clinic Victoria enjoys time with family and friends, stays active with gym, cycling, swimming and walking since coming back from ACLR revision. Leaving her sporting days behind her, finding the next phase in life's hobbies, she journing back to teaching yoga, learning to cook and painting more in her downtime.

He has continued his development, currently holding a level 1 Bike Fit qualification and helps people find their most optimal riding position. Throughout his time studying he spent time as a sports trainer with the Tuggeranong Vikings Rugby Union Club and now works with the AFL Umpires Department.
Myles enjoys a range of sports, notably, AFL, basketball, and squash. His current sport of choice is triathlon, in which he competed at the 2022 World Triathlon Championships where he came 2nd in his age group. In his free time, you will find him swimming, cycling or running around Canberra with a local triathlon club.
Myles’ history of high-level sport has exposed him to a variety of sports injuries and how to manage such conditions with the use of manual therapy and exercise. Myles has a keen interest and experience with sports, lower limb, shoulder, neck, and back injuries. He believes that knowledge is power and that by educating patients on their condition it can empower them to take a more active approach in the management of their injury or condition.

During her career and university placements, Bree gained experience across diverse settings including elite sporting teams, pregnancy, acute and post-operative hospital care, and the management of neurological conditions.
By combining her manual massage therapy expertise with her physiotherapy skills, Bree tailors individualised treatment plans to meet each patient’s unique needs. Her compassionate, patient-centered approach emphasises best-practice manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription to achieve optimal outcomes and enhance overall patient well-being.
Outside of the clinic, Bree can be found playing Rugby Union for the Canberra Royals. This year she will be handing in her footy boots, and instead will be working alongside the UC Brumbies for the 2025 season

Ellen has a passion for exercise and movement, and uses these interests to empower her patients to take charge of their own rehabilitation journey. Ellen values evidence based treatment, combining manual therapy and exercise prescription to treat a variety of conditions.
Outside of the clinic Ellen enjoys a range of active pursuits including walking with her partner, strength training and dance. Ellen is a competitive Physical Culture dancer and has represented Canberra at the national finals at the Opera House many times. Ellen’s background in dance sparked her interest in physiotherapy, seeing first-hand its positive impact on pain and function.
Ellen values all patients, but has a particular interest in working with children and those from a dance background. Ellen has also had experience with conditions of the ankle, knee and hip.

In the summertime you’ll find him off riding his bike, out running, or floating down a river while in the wintertime Josh works as a ski instructor based out of Jindabyne and trainer and examiner for the Australian Professional Snowsports Instructors.

During his studies, Aidan gained diverse experience in rehabilitation settings and served as a game-day medical trainer for the Woden Blues Football Club last year. He is particularly passionate about knee health, neurological conditions, mental well-being, and healthy aging.
Aidan personally underwent rehabilitation for challenging knee injuries, which helped him discover a passion for assisting others in achieving their goals and optimising their rehabilitation outcomes.
He is an avid lover of sports, particularly Aussie rules and football. Aidan continues to play Aussie Rules as a way of staying fit and keeping an active social life.

Aaron has a previous history of being a high-performance athlete in hockey and still enjoys playing hockey on a Saturday. Outside of sport Aaron enjoys spending time with his young family and doing all things active with his partner and daughter.
Fun Fact: According to Aaron’s parents, when he was younger Aaron was often known to fall asleep in unusual situations such as in the highchair or face first in the back seat of the car waiting for everyone else on road trips.
